Session D: 4:00pm - 5:05pm

Location: Exhibit Hall 2

Students often make decisions of what they do in class based on their perception of whether or not the teacher cares about them (Weinstein, Tomlinson-Clark and Curan, 2004). This session will discuss how a culturally responsive mindset can lead to self-awareness, teachable moments, and an environment that embraces diversity. Participants will gain knowledge of resources and strategies that will help build a stronger campus culture using relational practices.
