Within her roles as an educator for the last 18 years, she has served within the capacities of Campus Leadership, Instructional Math Coaching, Data Specialist, & Master Teacher.  These experiences have afforded her the academic & interpersonal skillset to serve as an exceptional leader & Master Teacher.

Throughout her career, Ms. Tukes has not only strived for high success in academics, yet she also focuses on continuously building relationships with all stakeholders.  Building meaningful relationships develops campus climate that cultivates positive student learning with long-lasting campus success.  As a campus leader, Ms. Tukes has served as a catalyst for the implementation of several professional development initiatives that are geared towards behavioral support, such as: Safe & Civil Schools: CHAMPS, Foundations – Establishing Policies, STOIC, Behavioral Responses to Interventions, Mentoring, New Teacher Academy, Restorative Justice, & our latest district initiative of ‘Bridging the Gap’& ‘Re-Entry Circle’.

Ms. Amelia Tukes has a great passion for focusing on ‘at-risk’ youth with the deepest intent for their restoration and success within school systems.  Ms. Tukes firmly believes in the power of ‘restoration’ personally & for her school community.  She also believes that when professionals commit to the work, it allows students the opportunity to trust and believe in themselves’.  This belief will in turn allow students to become academically & behaviorally successful & ensure a promising & productive school year for all.  As always, #AliefProud!
