Session:Going in Circles Goes A Long Way!
Korin Ortiz entered the education field fourteen years ago as a mathematics teacher, and has worked his entire career with At-Risk students at Cesar Chavez Academy, which is the DAEP campus that serves Ysleta ISD. Korin is a two time campus teacher of the year whose goal is to share his knowledge and expertise with his students in order to help them increase their academic development. Korin strongly believes in restorative discipline as a practical approach to help students develop social and emotional skills critical for their success in their adult life. Korin has a Bachelor’s in Electronic Engineering, a Master’s degree in Education conferred by The University of Texas at El Paso, and is currently working towards his principal certification at Lamar University.
