Restorative Discipline and Autism...ABSOLUTELY!

Michael is currently the Autism Coordinator for Alvarado ISD. He taught in self-contained autism classrooms in Duncanville ISD and Ector County ISD for eight years before becoming the Autism Specialist & In-Home/Parent trainer for Ector County ISD from 2005-2009. Beginning in 2009, he worked four years as an Educational Consultant for Autism at ESC Region 11. Michael is a Certified Specialist in Restorative Practices and a trained facilitator for NEDRP. He is firm believer in the effectiveness of Restorative Practices and utilizes Two-minute Connections and GTKY circles with high-functioning students with autism.
